When people ask me how birth experience was, I always use the same two words: beautiful and empowering. To give birth and to feel so uplifted by the experience is truly the greatest gift. When we brought our son home from the hospital, I was a participant rather than a patient. I came home feeling confident, strong, and happy. I attribute much of this to my overall birth experience, which was made possible by Tara and my wonderful midwife.
